That's necessary only if you can't find a distribution that fits your needs on the bellow lists.

Represents a Linux computer as a JOSP Object.

The base distribution for Web based objects. It represents a set of urls in a user-configured object's structure as a different JOSP Objects. End user can customize this distribution and create their own JOSP obejcts interacting with web pages, APIs or other cloud based services. Then those objects can be shared again as a JOD Distributions.
